Protecting confidentiality is very important to us. In case and to the extent that you voluntarily provide us with personal data, they will be processed in accordance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as valid from May 25, 2018, and the legal provisions on data protection from the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG). With the following data protection information, we would like to explain in detail how the data is used.

1. General information on the collection of personal data

1.1   In principle, the collection, processing, and use of personal data for the use of our website is limited to the necessary level and necessary data. Personal data are all data that relate to you personally, e.g., name, address, email addresses, user behavior.

1.3 If you contact us via email or through an order form or any other contact form, you agree that the data voluntarily provided by you (email address, if applicable, name, address, etc.) will be stored by us to respond to your inquiries or process other requests from you. We delete the data appearing in this context after storage is no longer necessary, or we restrict processing if there are legal requirements to retain them.

1.4 If we engage contracted service providers for individual functions of our offer, we will inform you about the use of data and the duration of storage.

2. Your Rights

You have the right to:

– Request, in accordance with Article 15 of the GDPR, information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you can request information about the purposes of processing, the categories of personal data, the recipients or categories of recipients, the planned storage period, the existence of the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, or objection.
– Request immediate rectification of incorrect personal data or completion of incomplete personal data stored by us, in accordance with Article 16 of the GDPR.

3. Collecting personal data during visits to our website

In case of purely informative use of our web pages, therefore if you do not register or otherwise submit information, we collect the following data which are technically necessary for displaying our web page and ensuring its stability and security:

The legal basis for processing the data is provided by Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Under no circumstances do we use the collected data to trace references to your person.

4. 4. Other functions of our website and other offers

4.1 Besides the purely informative use of our website or other advertising media, we offer various services that you can use if interested. Usually, to do this, you need to provide additional personal data which we use to provide the service. The legal bases are provided by Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a, b, and f of the GDPR.

4.2 We partially use services from external providers for processing your data. These carefully selected and authorized service providers are obligated to follow our instructions and are regularly monitored.

4.3 Additionally, we may transmit your personal data to third parties if permitted by law and necessary according to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. B of the GDPR for the execution of contractual relationships with you.

4.4 If our service providers or partners are located in a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will inform you in the offer description.

4.5 On our website, we use the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) procedure together with the highest level of encryption supported by your web browser. If only one page of our website is transmitted encrypted, you recognize this by the closed representation of the key symbol or lock icon in the lower status bar of your web browser. We take precautions to protect the data managed by us against manipulation, loss, destruction, or access by unauthorized persons or unauthorized disclosure. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

5. Gambling

If you voluntarily provide us with your personal data to participate in a gambling/raffle/promotional activity conducted by us, we will process and use this data only to the extent necessary for the implementation of the activity, identifying and informing the winners. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. a of the GDPR. In addition, the respective terms and conditions of the gambling activities apply. The legal basis for the admissibility of these advertising measures is Art. 6(1) lit. f of the GDPR.

6. The objection or revocation of the processing of your data.

6.1 If you have given your consent for the processing of your data, you can revoke it at any time.

6.2 Of course, you can object at any time to the processing of your personal data for advertising and data analysis purposes. You can inform us of your objection to advertising using the contact details mentioned in point 1.2 above.

7. The use of cookies

7.1 In addition to the data mentioned in section 3, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are saved on your hard drive in the browser you use. Cookies cannot run programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve to make the internet offering easier to use and more efficient overall.

7.2 This website uses the following types of cookies, whose scope of application and mode of operation are explained below:

8. Online Application

The data you provide is solely used for job search purposes. By doing so, you consent to the storage and processing of the personal data you provide for this purpose. 8.2 Your data is used within our company only for the purpose of filling an appropriate position. Only authorized employees have access to your data. Please note that you are responsible for the accuracy of your data. By approving your profile, you agree to be contacted. This may be done via email, post, or telephone. Your data is used exclusively for the recruitment process. Your data is stored beyond the end of the specific application process for a period of 5 months. You have the right to revoke your consent regarding the use of your personal data at any time, as described in section 7. 8.3 We emphasize once again that, according to section 4.5, we use technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against manipulation, loss, destruction, and unauthorized access. We constantly adapt our security measures in accordance with technological advancements.

9. Tracking Tools Usage

9.1 Tracking Measures

The tracking measures listed below and used by us are based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. By using the following tracking measures, we aim to ensure needs-based design and continuous optimization of our website. On the other hand, we use tracking measures to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer for you. These interests must be considered justified within the meaning of the aforementioned regulation.

9.2 Google Analytics

For the purpose of customizing and continuously optimizing our pages, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (https://www.google.com/intl/en/about/) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter “Google”). In this context, pseudonymized user profiles are created and cookies are used (see section 4). The cookies generate the following information when you use our website:

– Referrer URL (previously visited page)
– Host name of the accessing computer (IP address)
– Time of the server request

This information is transmitted and stored on a server of Google in the USA. The information is used to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activities, and to provide other services related to website use and internet use for market research purposes and to tailor these websites to meet users’ needs. This information may also be transferred to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data within the framework of a contract. Under no circumstances will your IP address be merged with other data from Google. IP addresses are anonymized, so that an assignment is not possible (IP masking).

9.3 This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”. As a result, IP addresses are processed in a shortened form, so that direct reference to a person can be excluded.

9.6 This website also uses Google Analytics for a cross-device visitor analysis, which is carried out via a user ID. You can disable this usage analysis in the “My data” section, “personal data” of your customer account.

10. Google Adwords

10.1 Google Adwords Conversion Tracking: In order to statistically record the use of our website and evaluate it for you for the purpose of optimizing our website, we use Google Conversion Tracking. Thus, Google Adwords will set a cookie (see section 4) on your computer if you have reached our website through a Google ad.

These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. These cookies (if not expired) allow Google and Adwords clients to see that the user clicked on a Google Adwords ad and was redirected to this page.

Each Adwords client receives a different cookie. The information collected using conversion cookies is used to generate conversion statistics for Adwords clients who have opted for Conversion Tracking. Adwords clients learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a Conversion Tracking Tag. However, they do not receive information that personally identifies users.

If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can also refuse the necessary setting of a cookie for this purpose – for example, by adjusting your browser settings, which generally disables the automatic setting of cookies. 10.2 Google Adwords Remarketing: This website uses Google Adwords, a service provided by Google Inc. (Google”). For this purpose, the Remarketing function within Google AdWords is used. With the Remarketing function, we can show users of our website ads on other websites within the Google network based on their interests. For this purpose, user interaction on our website is analyzed, e.g. which offers the user has shown interest in, in order to be able to display targeted advertising to users even after they have visited our website on other pages. For this purpose, a so-called “cookie” is stored on the visitor’s computer. The string it contains is used to recognize a visitor when they visit web pages that are part of the Google advertising network. There, the visitor may be shown advertising related to the content accessed earlier on pages that use Google Remarketing.

Google uses the so-called “DoubleClick” cookie for this purpose (see Section 7.2). This is the same cookie used on web pages that run advertising programs of Google’s DoubleClick subsidiary. There are no third-party advertisements on our pages. The DoubleClick cookie serves only the remarketing function here.

In the case of the remarketing function, Google does not collect personal data according to its own instructions. Insofar as references to personal data are tracked through the use of the aforementioned service, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

Alternatively, you can also configure your browser to not accept cookies or to accept only certain cookies. Please note that this may limit the functionality and comfort of the web pages. 11. YouTube

This website uses Social Plugins (“plugins”) from the youtube.com video portal. YouTube is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The plugins are recognizable by a YouTube logo.

When you call up one of our internet pages with such a plugin, your browser connects directly to Google’s servers. By integrating the plugins, Google receives the information that you have accessed the relevant page of our website. If you are a Google member and are logged in to your Google account, Google can associate your visit to this page with your Google account. When you activate the YouTube button, your browser transmits the entered data to Google. Google processes this data.
